MEET KHLOE: A 2024 RUNWAY STAR

Khloe is a miracle and a true warrior. She arrived at 28 weeks, after her mom Khandice had been on bed rest at St. Joseph’s Health for almost three months. Weighing only 873 grams, Khloe spent 124 days in the NICU and was cared for around the clock. Today, Khloe is 6-years-old and a shining example of the miracle work happening at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital every day.

OUR INSPIRING PEDIATRIC PATIENTS

RUTH’S STORY

Ruth was born at St. Joseph’s Health in 2020 after her mother, Amica, spent her high-risk pregnancy traveling from Pennsylvania to St. Joe’s in Paterson, NJ, to be treated by our Maternal and Fetal Medicine Team. Three years later, Ruth’s little brother Jude was also born at St. Joseph’s Health. Amica stated, “We came to St. Joseph’s Health for the excellent obstetric care and the births of our children. St. Joseph’s Health helped build our family from two to three, and then from three to four.”

ISAIAH’S STORY

Isaiah is a patient at the Feeding and Swallowing Center at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital. Early on, his parents realized he needed extra help and support when it came to feedings. His mother shared, “We have received phenomenal care at St. Joseph’s. The St. Joseph’s feeding team was able to get my son to eat a variety of foods in just four weeks. It was a miracle!” The Feeding and Swallowing Center sees patients like Isaiah from 43 States and 19 Countries around the world.

HANS & YANNI’S STORY

Hans and Yanni are brothers that came to the Binder Autism Center at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital for developmental assessments and their collaborative services. Through all of the recreational and social skill programs that the center offers, they have made great friends and participated in events for their whole family. 1 in 34 children in NJ are diagnosed with Autism, and the Binder Autism Center provides support for more than 500 children and their families every year.
