St. Joseph’s Dedicates Santo LoConte Child Advocacy Center
Brand New Facility Offers Home-Like Atmosphere for Child and Family Support
St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital is proud to announce the opening of the Santo LoConte Child Advocacy Center, a newly-constructed facility to support families throughout Passaic County. The center, made possible by the generosity of the LoConte Family Charitable Foundation, will improve quality of life for families and lessen the trauma experienced by abused children.
“We are grateful to the LoConte family, and thrilled to deliver vital expertise and support to vulnerable children and families in a warm and welcoming environment,” said Michael Lamacchia, Chairman of Pediatrics for St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital. “The advocacy programs provided by St. Joseph’s are critical to our mission to offer children a safe and nurturing setting to foster resiliency, hope and healing.”
The two-story, 11,000 square foot building offer children and families the experience of a coordinated interdisciplinary team that brings together protective services, medical providers, and therapeutic resources.
“It’s an honor for our family to contribute to the mission to provide an advocacy center in my grandfather’s memory that will do such good for the community,” said Gabriella LoConte, member of the St. Joseph’s Health Foundation Board and Vice President of the LoConte Family Charitable Foundation. “His legacy lives on here in Paterson through the families that will be helped with these life-changing services.”
