New Women’s & Children’s Pavilion
St. Joseph’s Health Launches Building Project for a State-of-the-Art Women & Children’s Pavilion.
“We are excited and honored to launch this project on behalf of the women, children and families we serve day-in and day-out,” said Kevin J. Slavin, St. Joseph’s Health President and CEO. “Through the generous support of our donors, St. Joseph’s will expand and enhance services to generations of families in a contemporary care environment offering privacy, comfort and elegance.”
Approximately 3,000 babies are born each year at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center, with nearly 300 of those receiving care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
“The Pavilion for Women & Children brings new technology and care resources to ensure our tiniest and most fragile patients are achieving the brightest futures,” said Dr. Michael Lamacchia, Chairman of the St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital. “This beautiful four-story renovation is a unique healthcare destination providing personalized and comprehensive healthcare to the women and children of our community.”
The facility enhancements were planned after conducting extensive community research on needed healthcare services and are designed with input from physicians, nurses and clinicians providing care. The project brings a new setting for the St. Joseph’s world class healthcare services, while simultaneously providing an opportunity to expand private rooms on the University Medical Center Campus in Paterson.
