We have so much to be grateful for here at St. Joseph’s Health Foundation. This holiday season; know that your support of the Foundation brings light and joy to the patients and families served by St. Joseph’s Health. Through your generous spirit, you join with us in fulfilling our mission of providing exceptional quality care for all!
As we look ahead to the New Year, we must first reflect on the wonderful year that we’ve had with deep gratitude for those who have joined with us in our mission. As such, we are proud to present the 2019 Days of Giving; A Celebration of Philanthropy at St. Joseph’s Health, featuring just some of the reason’s we’re grateful this year.
- & Mrs. Otto Sabando, their family, and all of our Physician Donors: With the holiday season well under way, we kicked off #SJHDaysofGiving by recognizing Dr. Otto Sabando, and his family, along with all of the physicians and their families who are so important to carrying out our mission. Thank you for your support!
- Dean and Bianca Emmolo: Dean and Bianca Emmolo have been dedicated benefactors to St. Joseph’s Health for nearly 28 years, and Dean currently serves as Chair of the St. Joseph’s Health Foundation Board of Trustees. We are grateful to the Emmolo’s for their leadership and generosity.
- Soap Gives Hope: We are thankful for the dynamic duo behind @soapgiveshope – two sisters, Peyton and Quinn, who have teamed up to sell hand-made soaps, and donate proceeds to St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital.
- United Airlines – Adventure Bear Program: Look who flew through St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital this month! Thank you @United for having some of your Newark-based crew stop by to deliver your signature Adventure Bears to our pediatric patients.
- Joan Cohen: We recognize Mrs. Joan Cohen, a longtime benefactor, volunteer, and member of the Seton Legacy Society. Mrs. Cohen generously gives her time and resources to ensure quality healthcare is available to all. Thank you Mrs. Cohen!
- The Fashion with Compassion Committee: We are thankful for the Fashion with Compassion Committee and all of our committees that work tirelessly to bring our donors and friends wonderful events centered on philanthropy and support of St. Joseph’s mission.
- The Kontos Family: We are grateful for the leadership of Nancy Kontos who served as Chair of the 2019 St. Joseph’s Health Gala. Nancy is also a member of the St. Joseph’s Health Foundation’s Board of Trustees. She, her husband, Steve, and their children, are truly dedicated to the mission of St. Joseph’s Health.
- Confirmation Class & all our young philanthropists: We are happy to recognize the hard work of all the young philanthropists supporting St. Joseph’s Health, including a recent confirmation class from OLMC Ridgewood. Thank you for dedicating your efforts to the patients and families served by St. Joseph’s Health!
- Our Corporate Champions: We recently held our annual Corporate Champions Breakfast, featuring a special presentation by Cathleen Bennett, President & CEO of @NJHospitals, to celebrate the profound impact of St. Joseph’s corporate partners, and to foster new connections with local business leaders.
- Montclair State University Volunteers and all our volunteers: We are excited that this year’s 4 Miler at Garret Mountain, presented by @SaxLLP, led to a new partnership with @MontclairSigDelts! Thank you for cheering along everyone who ran and walked to support St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital. We can’t wait for next year’s event.
- 2019 Gala Honorees – Dr. Mark Rosenberg, JDT Villa (Toni Loyas), McCarter & English (Scott Kobler): We recognize the tireless efforts of this year’s St. Joseph’s Health Gala Honorees, Dr. Mark Rosenberg, JDT Rehab, and McCarter & English. We are grateful for boundless support of St. Joseph’s Health.
- Railroad ConstructionL: Railroad Construction Company, Inc., has been a dedicated benefactor to St. Joseph’s Health for 32 years. We are inspired by Railroad’s commitment to supporting our shared community of Greater Paterson.
- Pat Taranto, Annual Fund Donor: Today we thank Mrs. Pat Taranto, a St. Joseph’s Nursing School alumna, and long-time benefactor.
- Young Professionals Committee: Joseph’s Health Foundation was thrilled to kick off our new Young Professionals Committee (YPC) this year. Through various volunteer and fundraising projects, the YPC supports St. Joseph’s Health in its mission to provide exceptional quality care which sustains and improves both individual and community health, with a special concern for those who are poor, vulnerable and underserved.
- McKesson: McKesson challenged its employees to bring toys to its December meeting, and their team went above and beyond! Staff from McKesson’s Morristown office hand-delivered 85 toys to St. Joseph’s Health Children’s Hospital last week, bringing smiles to our youngest patients.
- The LoConte Family: Today we honor and celebrate the generosity of the LoConte Family, whose support created the Santo LoConte Child Advocacy Center, a warm and welcoming environment that supports vulnerable children and families. We also recognize Gabriella LoConte, a member of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees and Chair of the Young Professionals Committee.
- Our Employee Donors: Our #SJHDaysofGiving wouldn’t be complete if we didn’t recognize the love and generosity we receive from our employees. We are proud of our employee support throughout the years, and the support we continue to receive. Our employees are at the heart of St. Joseph’s Health’s mission, and we are proud of what their philanthropy achieves.
