Congratulations to the 2020 Anthony J. Addeo, M.D. Scholarship Recipients!
Each year, the Anthony J. Addeo, M.D. Scholarship Award Committee distributes awards in memory of the late Dr. Anthony Addeo; a physician who contributed greatly to the advancement of medicine at St. Joseph’s Wayne Medical Center. In 2020, $1,000 was awarded to each of the ten recipients of this scholarship.
The Anthony J. Addeo, M.D. Scholarship Fund, established by the late Mr. And Mrs. Michael A. Simonelli, assists students who are pursuing an education in the nursing profession. It is our hope that the recipients of the award will exemplify those traits embodied by Dr. Addeo’s compassion, scientific curiosity and a deep concern for their patients.
Award selections are determined on the basis of proof of acceptance and enrollment in a current nursing program, demonstrated financial need, and clearly stated career goals. All St. Joseph’s Health employees pursuing a degree in nursing are invited to apply for this award. Applications are made available by Human Resources each year no earlier than August 1st.
It is our honor to congratulate and recognize the well-deserved recipients of the 2020 Anthony J. Addeo, M.D. Scholarship:
